Divya Vaishnav, a member of the Udaipur Cricket Academy, was selected in the 30 women players for the Rajasthan state senior women team.  The trials for the women team are being conducted, subsequent to which the final 15 will be decided.

Divya, 23 years of age, has been playing cricket since she was in school.  However, lack of opportunity and a platform, caused her talent to be hidden all these years.  However, on joining the Udaipur Cricket Academy two years back, as per her coach Vikram Singh, Divya outperformed most players, and her opportunity to be recognised came as late as January 2020.

She was selected in the trials for the maiden Women Cricket tournament of Udaipur, which was held on 30-31 January 2020.  Divya was selected as the Woman of the Tournament in this two day event.  She went on for her Rajasthan Open trials to Jaipur and was selected in the 90 players for the Challenger tournament.  Subsequently, her performance in the Challenger tournament got her a place in the top 30, who will participate in the camp for the state team.

Divya's father is a farmer at Manvakheda and her mother is a housewife.
