12 members of the Udaipur Cycle Club complete an interesting but ardous journey from Udaipur to the Status of Unity in Gujarat.

This cycle trek was a part of their mission to spread the message of Social Harmony across the region.  In the wake of the damage to the social and secular fabric of India due to the happenings post CAA/NRC in many parts of India, the cyclists took up this onerous task and completed this journey.

The cycle trek from Udaipur to Kevadiya (where the Statue of Unity) is located, took them through Banswara and Dahod. They reached Narmad Valley in Kevadiya Colony on Saturday evening.

Nitesh Tak, President of the Udaipur Cycling Club informed media that the journey with a message of social harmony was completed by the team consisting of Nitesh Tak himself, Kailash Jain, Jayesh Rawat, Rajendra Sharma, Jitendra Patel (Iron Man), Sumeet Sharma, Dr Manish Agarwal, Advocate Vikas Khandelwal, Vikas Nalvaya, Mohit Patel, Vineet Tailor and Hiransh Kothari.  The journey was eventful and interesting.  He further said that on Sunday, 8 March, which was also the International Womens Day, the cyclists trekked another 20 km around the statue region spreading the message of social harmony among the visitors who were present at the Statue of Unity.

The 12 member team was accompanied by a vehicle carrying first aid equipment and a cycle maintenance specialist to ensure that their journey is not broken or delayed.

UCC has, in the past also made long journey across the region and is active in promoting the message of social harmony, environment care, Girl Child, etc. Their previous journey was from Udaipur to Jaisalmer. UCC is succeeding in its attempt to develop Udaipur's identity as a cycling hub through the varios events it undertakes.
