Inter college Athletics (Men & Women) tournament started today at MB College Ground, hosted by The University College of Commerce and Management. Athletes from various colleges from Udaipur and nearby cities have taken part.

The tournament was inaugurated by Prof Dariyav Singh Chundawat, Chairman of MLSU Sports Board.

On the first day, competitions including 10 thousand meter race, discus throw and short put were held in different rounds for both men and women.

Udaipur team dominated the first day as Manoj Kumar from BNPG College stood first in the 10000 meter race; Kumar was followed by Sunil and Neeraj of Udaipur’s BNCP College.

In Discus Throw, Geetesh Singh of BNCP achieved first position while Yogesh Menaria of Mahaveer Rashtriya College and Avdhesh Rajpurohit of Sirohi college stood second and third respectively. Geetesh Singh also won first prize in short put.

In women’s category Sunita Jat of BN Girls won first prize in 10,000 meter race, followed by Lalita of BN Girls.

In Discus Throw, Namita, Harishita and Rekha from BN Girls grabbed 1^st,2^nd and 3^rd places respectively . Both Namita and Rekha continued their domination in Short Put as well and took first and second places while Neha Pangadia from Arts College won third place.

In 100 meters (women), Yam Kunwar of BN Girls won first place whereas, Arti Malviya of BN Girls Rajsamand got second and Usha Achraj of BN Girls Udaipur got third place.
