Udaipur girl Uditanshu Singh Ranawat has been selected for National Judo competition on school level. She has proved that nothing can obstruct your path to success.
Her story is inspiring. She was asked to stay from judo competition when her weight exceeded by 400 grams as per norms. Nothing was going to stop her; hence she found a way to fit into the frame. Firstly she had her hair cut which weighed around 300 grams. Then she stayed hungry for hours on stretch and practiced judo. This led her to lose that remaining 100 grams and she was selected last year.
This year, too, she has been selected for the judo competition. Uditanshu is a student of 8th standard in Central Academy School, Sardarpura. She could not achieve the desired result last year, but this year she won a gold medal on District level. This achievement opened doors for National Judo this year for her.
Uditanshu Singh Ranawat is under training in Shri Ganganagar. She practiced under Physical Trainer Mukesh Sharma in school and under and Coach Dr. Himanshu Rajora in Khelgaon. Last year she was awarded Maharana Fateh Singh Special award by Maharana Mewar Foundation.
