Speaking of the hurdles that came along the way, Rishabh brushes them aside, saying “the motivation to compete and complete was good enough” – harsh waves in the sea while swimming all of those 4 kms, tremendous pain in the leg while cycling and of course, while running. were all set aside as Rishabh (Bib 521) completed the 226km endeavor in 14hrs and 29 minutes, ranking 537 of the 978 participants.

A rigorous training schedule for Rishabh for under six months, under strict discipline of workout routines coupled with diet, ensured that he competes in the race.  Rishabh completed the world’s most strenuous triathlon with flying colors.

Rishabh agrees that the night before the event, all participants were nervous – inspite of having trained rigorously well aware of their body capabilities.  More than physical capabilities, it was mental balance that ensured that the competitors come out with flying colors.
