The Khardung La Challenge, the world's highest-altitude ultramarathon, took place on September 8, starting at 3 am from Khardung village. Covering a challenging distance of 72 kilometers, this event saw the enthusiastic participation of approximately 280 individuals from both India and abroad.
Kailash Jain, a 55-year-old Marathoner and cyclist hailing from Udaipur, achieved the top position in the Veteran Male category. In recognition of his outstanding performance, he was bestowed with a gold medal and a citation. Kailash exhibited remarkable enthusiasm as he covered the challenging 72-kilometer distance, successfully completing it in a commendable time of 10 hours and 32 minutes.
