Kiyana Parihar, a 9-year-old student of MDS School in Udaipur, has brought honour to Udaipur and India by securing a place in the top 10 in the Girls U10 category at the FIDE World Cup for Youth held in Batumi, Georgia. The tournament, which was held from June 23 to July 2, showcased talented young chess players from across the globe.

In an impressive display of skill and strategy, Kiyana achieved victories against opponents such as Mehriban from Azerbaijan and Khadija from Uzbekistan during Stage 1 of the competition. She also drew with WCM Milaner Romi, securing a commendable 5th place overall. Notably, she clinched a significant win against a Chinese opponent with a score of 2.5/1.5, earning a remarkable 9th rank in the tournament standings.

Kiyana's achievement is especially noteworthy given her young age and the competitive field she faced. Kiyana Parihar's performance at the FIDE World Cup for Youth has garnered attention not only for her remarkable talent but also for the broader impact on Indian chess.
