Udaipur’s Nishchay Singh Chauhan has been appointed as the coach for Kayaking and Canoeing at the regional training center on Fatehsagar. This announcement was made jointly by Chairman Shri Dilip Singh Chauhan of Indian Dragon Boat and Chairman Shri Piyush Kachhwaha of Canoe Sprint.
Guiding Athletes at Fateh Sagar
Nishchay Singh Chauhan, recognized by both the International Canoe Federation and the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association, will be guiding athletes at the Fateh Sagar center. With over 12 years of coaching experience, he has been instrumental in training numerous young talents in Kayaking and Canoeing.
80 Athletes Under His Training
Mr. Chauhan's coaching skills has already borne fruit, with six of his students representing India in various international competitions. Additionally, more than 80 athletes under his training have secured national medals.
International Dragon Boat Competition
Nishchay Singh Chauhan is set to embark on a new journey as he prepares to lead the Indian team to the International Dragon Boat Competition in Barnaul, Russia. Scheduled from June 28 to 30, 2024, this event will see participation from over 1200 athletes worldwide, with India fielding a team of 14 players.
Departing from Delhi on June 24, Nishchay Singh Chauhan's appointment underscores India's growing prominence in global water sports, promising an exciting chapter for kayaking and canoeing enthusiasts across the country. His leadership and expertise are expected to further elevate India's standing in international competitions.
