Udaipur, April 28, 2025 - Sirjan Singh Deol, a swimmer from Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon in Udaipur, has been selected to participate in the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games.

District Sports Officer and swimming coach Dr Mahesh Paliwal informed that Sirjan, a bright student of Grade 11, has been chosen in the top 16 under-18 athletes category from across the country.

Sirjan’s selection by the Ministry of Sports is under the Khelo India Talent Identification Scheme, as per Dr Paliwal. As part of this scheme, he will now receive advanced training at a Khelo India High Performance Training Centre.

Lalit Singh Jhala, in charge of the Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon, and all other coaches have termed Sirjan’s achievement as a source of inspiration for other swimmers and sports trainees.
