Udaipur, a city known for its cultural heritage and picturesque landscapes, is eagerly preparing to host an exciting basketball tournament scheduled for August 12 and 13, 2023. This anticipated event is being meticulously organized by two prominent entities in the sporting realm: the Lakecity FIBA 3x3 Basketball Group and the Olympus Sports Academy.
Under the adept guidance of President Rakesh Porwal, who brings his leadership and expertise to the forefront, the tournament promises to be an enthralling spectacle for both participants and spectators alike. The tournament is set to take place at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, located at MB College ground.
This tournament holds great significance not only for basketball enthusiasts but also for the broader community of Udaipur. It's an opportunity for the city to showcase its commitment to sports and athleticism, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among basketball groups, young players, social workers, and passionate sports lovers.
Committees have been put in place, each assigned a specific responsibility to ensure the smooth execution of the tournament. From managing accommodations to overseeing the sports ground, from publicity efforts to maintaining the technical aspects of the competition, every detail is being meticulously taken care of. Patron Nirmal Kumar Pandit mentioned that a total of 76 teams comprising both men and women from across the country will be taking part in the competition.
Rakesh Porwal stated that in order to ensure the successful organization of the competition, several committees have been established with designated in-charges. These committees encompass the reception committee, housing arrangement committee, sports ground committee, publicity committee, judging committee, technical committee, refreshments committee, protest committee, award committee, and more. Notably, Secretary Nitesh Badgurjar and Treasurer Jayant Gupta were present during this announcement.
