Udaipur will host All India West Zone championship of Kayaking and Canoeing in November. It is among the most liked adventure sport thriving in the city. Udaipur will be first city across Rajasthan to host such an event.

The national level event is expected to take place on 9^th – 11^th November. This will be an open tournament in which many Universities of West India will participate. It will be divided over three age categories namely Junior, Sub-Junior and Senior.

According to the information given by Dilip Singh Chouhan, Secretary of Rajasthan Kayaking and Canoeing Association, competition will have 200, 500 and 1000 meter events, also 5km and 20km marathon will be there.

At present, association is imparting basic training to around 45 students at lake Fatehsagar in morning (7-9am) and evening (4.30-6.30pm) to around 14 girls and 31 boys of all age group. A district level tournament is also proposed in the month of October, in which kayak from other districts will be invited to perform. Eligible athletes will be given chance to compete in Nationals.

Rajasthan Kayaking and Canoeing Association have introduced water adventure sports few months back. While first training camp for the same was organized between 3^rd-22^nd August, second camp already commenced from 24^th September.
