The State Level Chess under 9 and under 19 tournament will be held under the patronage of “Chess in Lakecity” from 8^th June at Shramjivi College.

The organizing Secretary, Vikas Sahu informed that the participants in the tournament would include FIDE rated and National Chess players from Udaipur, Jaipur and Ajmer among others.

Dilip Singh Chauhan, Chief Organizer said, “The tournament will follow the 7 round International Swiss Format”. He added that the first and second position holders of the under-9 category will be awarded with a certificate and a trophy while the first, second, third and fourth position holders in the under 19 category will be rewarded with certificates and trophies.

Vikas Sahu also informed about the recent triumphs of Udaipur’s chess experts at the P.P. Savni FIDE International Rating Tournament held in Surat, Gujarat. Young chess players from Udaipur, Harshit Sharma, Mudit Babel, Nikhil Yadav, Arpita Jain, Yogesh Hingad, Yugansh Shukla and others participated in the tournament.

The tournament registrations will begin tomorrow at 10:00 am at Shramjeevi and the first round will start at noon.
