Udaipur wins State Level Under-17 Cricket Tournament

Udaipur wins State Level Under-17 Cricket Tournament

The under-17 cricket team of Udaipur received grand welcome upon their arrival at City Railway Station yesterday. The team won 59th State level Cricket Tournament by defeating Bhilwara. The tournament was held at Shri Mahaveerji (Hindaun, Karauli).

Students of Central Academy and other schools greeted the winning team with garlands and offered sweets. Team Coach Mushtaq Hussain, Physical Instructor Deepak Sharma, Narendra Singh and Physical in charge Laxman Singh were also present on the occasion.

While informing about the tournament, Coach Mushtaq Hussain said, “33 teams from all over Rajasthan participated in this tournament. Under captainship of Mohit Jain, team Udaipur first defeated Alwar, Sikar and Ajmer.”

In semi final, Udaipur team crushed Jodhpur and qualified for final. In final match, Udaipur team defeated Bhilwara by 2 wickets and won the championship.

Sangam Mishra, chairman and Priya Bose, principal of Central Academy congratulated the team. The team consisted of students from several schools of Udaipur including Central Academy (5), Happy Home (2), St. Anthony (2) and Government Schools (2).
