Udaipur Women Bag 24 Medals in Khelo India Weightlifting

Udaipur, Aug 6, 2025 - Udaipur weightlifters outperformed at the Khelo India ASMITA Weightlifting Competition which was organised at the Lavkush Indoor Stadium Centre by the District Weightlifting Association. In this divisional-level competition, players from Udaipur participated in eight weight categories and won 24 medals.

ASMITA (Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women Through Action) is the flagship initiative for promotion of the Sports for Women component of the Khelo India Scheme.

In the competition, the following athletes won gold medals in their respective weight categories:

• Komal Bishnoi in 48 kg
• Muskan Soni in 53 kg
• Apeksha Panwar in 58 kg
• Avni Singh in 63 kg
• Diksha Panwar in 69 kg
• Divyanshi in 77 kg
• Anjali Sharma in 86 kg
• Harshi Bolia in 86+ kg

President Rajkumar Khatwani and Secretary Kamlesh Sharma informed that Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. The event was presided over by Sports Officer Mahesh Paliwal, with Rajasthan Weightlifting Association Secretary Ravi Sharma and District President Rajkumar Champawat as special guests.
