In a first for Udaipur, the Udaipur Cricket Academy has come up with the maiden Udaipur Women's League Tournament that will be held on 30-31 January 2020 at Field Club Udaipur.

Comprehensive trials were held at the Field Club grounds on Sunday, 19 January, to select players for for four teams that will clash in the white ball 2 day tournament. Women cricket aspirants from Kota, Chittor, Dungarpur and Banswara turned up for the trials.  In all 75 girls participated in the trials.  Four teams were selected.

Important to note, that the entire facilitation for this tournament has been done by the Udaipur Cricket Academy without any of the participants being charged for participation.

Vivek Sharma, Director of Udaipur Cricket Academy, in his note to media said that he drew inspiration after seeing the enthusiasm of girls towards cricket. This initiative aims to provide a structured platform for the girls of the region, who are keen on playing this sport.
