Final matches of All India Inter-University Women Boxing Championship were held today at B.N. College ground, Udaipur. It was a day of excitement and anxiety for all finalists! Audience raised the enthusiasm and encouraged all finalists to give their best performances.

Udaipur’s Vinisha Joshi, the only finalist from MLSU, brought laurels to the city by winning the final in Pin 46Kg. category. She was the only player of the host University, MLSU, who made it to finals and proved the mantle.

She received support from all her friends and Udaipurites, which was enough to boost her confidence level. Finally, the result of her hard work, consistent practice and love and blessings of her near and dear ones was her “Win”.

Sadly, MLSU’s performance compared to the performances of other participating Universities was very poor. Vinisha was the only one who made her way to semi-finals, finals and a winning innings.

Maharshi Dayanand University, Haryana topped the score card with 6 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal. Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra which secured second position in the tournament had almost half the total score of MDU with a total 6 medals including 3 Gold, 2 silver and 1 Bronze.
