India-Australia T20 Series: Who Made the Biggest Impact?

India, Nov 10, 2025: The Indian cricket team defeated Australia 2-1 in the five-match T20 series. Abhishek Sharma played very well with the bat and won the Player of the Series award. He scored 163 runs in five matches, including one half-century.

Apart from him, another player played only a few matches but made a big impact on the team.

This player is Washington Sundar. He was named the 'Impact Player of the Series' for his all-round performance in India’s win in the T20 series against Australia. The BCCI shared a behind-the-scenes video from the dressing room, saying, “He faced every challenge with calmness and consistency.”

Team Operations Manager Rahil Khawaja presented Sundar with the award. The 26-year-old all-rounder said after receiving the medal, “It’s great to be here and play in Australia. I’m very happy to help the team win. It’s special to receive this medal from Khawaja. We know how much work he does every day, which makes our work easier.”

Sundar scored an unbeaten 49 in India’s five-wicket win in the third T20I. He then took three wickets in 2.5 overs in the fourth match. Overall, Sundar scored 61 runs in two innings across three matches.

India will now play South Africa in a multi-format series starting November 14. Washington Sundar will also showcase his talent in this red-ball series, using both bat and ball to make an impact at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
