WPL 2026 Schedule: Harman vs Mandhana in Opening Clash
Udaipur, Nov 29, 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the full schedule for the Women’s Premier League 2026. The tournament will run from January 9 to February 5, 2026. The fourth season will take place in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. The WPL 2026 mega auction was completed recently.
The season will start with an exciting opener in Navi Mumbai, where defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The Navi Mumbai leg, from January 9 to 17, will feature 11 matches.
Vadodara to Host Playoffs and Final
The second phase of the league will be held in Vadodara. The remaining 11 matches, including the playoffs and the final, will be played there. The opening match in this leg will be between Gujarat Giants (GG) and RCB. This will be followed by a rematch between the 2025 finalists, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI). League matches will continue until February 1, after which there will be a break day.
The eliminator, played between the second and third teams in the points table, will take place on Tuesday, February 3. The winner will move to the final. The team that finishes first on the points table will enter the final directly. The final match will be held in Vadodara on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

67 Players Made Big Earnings in the Mega Auction
A total of 67 players were bought by teams in the mega auction held in New Delhi last Thursday. Deepti Sharma was the most expensive player. UP Warriorz bought her for ₹3.2 crore, making her the second most expensive Indian player in league history. UP also had the highest number of players who became millionaires, with five in total.
