It’s a Mega Festival in India Today!! After a long journey of 42 days and 48 matches finally the Lankans and the Indians made it to enter the ICC world cup 2011. The journey for both the teams was not less than a world war. And this time after 28 years India took over the ICC world cup. All the hard work and the prayers of each Indian did not go waste. And this moment is a historical moment for each and every Indian. One could easily feel the pride and joy of every Indian. The Indian team has shown the world that we are worth it. This world cup truly belongs to India. And the fact that no one can dare to take it away from us. The celebrations are on as today is the biggest festival of India, the festival of passion, love and cricket The tears in the eyes of each player could depict the hard work, pain and passion of all the players who have given their life for cricket. Indian Cricket Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the Man of the Match and Yuvraj Singh is honored with Man of the Tournament   Sri Lankan innings The first inning started by the srilankan batsman Upul Tharanga and Tillakaratne Dilshan and Zaheer Khan had his first over. The match started off with a tight fielding  by the Indian team.The Indian team managed the batsmen well till the 5 ^th over. But it was taken by the batsmen scoring 17/0 . It did not last until Upul Tharanga’s wicket was taken by Sehwag. With the entry of Kumar Sangakkara who managed to make his place till the 16 ^th over but lost it when Tillakaratne Dilshan was bowled. This was a big wicket for the Indian team. After the 17 ^th over with the entry of Mahela Jayawarden  and they both continued to manage a score upto 100 with Kumar Sangakkara 36(54) and Mahela Jayawardena 23(23) until the 27 ^th over and Kumar Sangakkara was thrown out by the curcial player Yuvraj Singh. The Lankans started to hit the ground and made 179 at the 38 ^th over but again yuvi  made it  to take a wicket followed by the next wicket in the 39 ^th over by zaheer khan Meanwhile, Nuwan Kulasekara was the next man in. It was a long tail for Sri Lanka. And the partnership of Nuwan Kulasekara Mahela Jayawardena managed to bring the score upto 238. And the partnership was broken  by the Indian bowlers. Somehow Thisara Perera and Mahela Jayawardena took over the match and made a target of 275 for the Indian team. Indian innings The 2 ^nd innings started off by the Indian batsmen Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar. And the first  over taken by L Malinga. It went quite disappointing with the fall of our first wicket our first wicket on the second ball With Gautam Gambhir’s entry, the game went off soomthly until the 6 ^th over. In which once again the master blaster had to leave the groun in the 6 ^th over. The next batsmen Virat Kohli stared off his battle and the partnership of Gautam Gambhir’ and  Virat Kohli scored upto 109 in the 21th over. The next ball took away Virat Kohli off the ground with the entry of the Indian captain MS Dhoni This was a point were the match took its real start of the war for the world cup The first six in the whole match was  hit in 43 ^rd
