Allegations spread online, but no official confirmation yet
The same user later claimed to have access to an “unedited” version of the vlog and posted further allegations suggesting that Chahal had allegedly brought a vape device onto the aircraft. These claims quickly spread across social media, triggering widespread discussion and debate among cricket fans.
However, there has been no official statement or confirmation from Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Punjab Kings, or the IPL regarding the authenticity of these allegations. At present, the claims remain unverified and have not been independently substantiated.
Despite the uncertainty, the incident has generated significant attention online. Many users have urged caution against spreading unverified content, while others pointed out that edits in online vlogs can happen for various reasons and do not necessarily imply wrongdoing. Until an official clarification is issued, the viral claims remain speculative.
Yuzvendra Chahal shows steady form in IPL 2026 despite rising economy rate
Yuzvendra Chahal has continued to remain one of the most experienced spinners in IPL history, holding the record as the league’s leading wicket-taker with 229 wickets in 181 innings. Over his career, he has maintained an average of 23.22, an economy rate of just above eight, and a strike rate of 17.3, with best bowling figures of 5/40.
In IPL 2026, Chahal has delivered a mixed but steady performance so far. He has taken 8 wickets in 9 innings at an average of 35.75 and a strike rate of 22.50. His economy rate of 9.53 reflects the challenges spinners face in modern T20 cricket, where scoring rates continue to rise.
Despite the higher economy, Chahal’s ability to pick up wickets at key moments remains valuable for his team. His experience and consistency continue to make him an important part of the bowling attack, even in a highly competitive season.
