October 11, 2026: Several new cars are expected to arrive in the Indian market between October 12 and October 17, 2026. The list includes two luxury electric cars from Volvo, Hyundai's new compact SUV, the Toyota Glanza facelift, the next-generation Audi Q3 and the Renault Duster, which could return with a hybrid powertrain. These launches could give buyers more options across different segments, from premium electric vehicles to compact and mid-size SUVs.

However, the launch dates and specifications of some models have not been officially confirmed for India. In particular, Hyundai has not clearly announced the Indian launch schedule for the Bayon. Here is a closer look at the six cars expected to arrive next week, their possible features and what buyers should know.

1. Volvo EX90: Luxury Electric SUV

The Volvo EX90 is expected to launch in India around October 12, 2026. It is the company's flagship electric SUV and features three rows of seats, making it a potential option for families looking for a spacious luxury electric vehicle. The Ultra variant is expected to be offered in India.

According to the expected specifications, the EX90 could feature a 106kWh battery pack and two electric motors. Depending on the version, its output could reach 456hp and 670Nm of torque. The claimed driving range could be up to 625km on a single charge, depending on the variant and testing conditions.

Inside, the SUV is expected to feature a 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 9-inch driver display and a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Advanced driver-assistance systems and several safety features could also be included. Volvo has not yet confirmed the Indian variant's final specifications, launch date or price. Its expected price in India remains unconfirmed in Indian rupees (INR).

2. Volvo ES90: Luxury Electric Sedan

Alongside the EX90, the Volvo ES90 electric sedan could also arrive in India around October 12. The model would expand Volvo's premium electric vehicle range in the country and offer an alternative to buyers looking for a luxury electric sedan.

Internationally, the ES90 is available with different battery and powertrain configurations. Depending on the version, it can feature a 92kWh or 106kWh battery, with power outputs ranging from 333hp to 680hp. The sedan also uses an 800-volt electrical architecture and supports DC fast charging at up to 350kW. The top version has a claimed WLTP range of up to 696km on a single charge.

However, the specifications of the Indian variant have not been confirmed. The final battery options, features, charging capabilities and price in INR will become clearer once Volvo announces the car's India launch details.

3. Hyundai Bayon: New Compact SUV

The Hyundai Bayon has attracted attention ahead of its expected international launch on October 12, 2026. However, Hyundai has not officially confirmed its India launch date. Therefore, reports about the Indian model's engine, features and booking schedule should be treated as unconfirmed until the company releases an official announcement.

According to the expected specifications, the Bayon could feature a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing around 115hp and 144Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a manual gearbox and an IVT automatic.

Reports have also suggested that bookings may be available in India for around ₹11,000. However, this booking amount and the model's Indian availability need official confirmation. The final price, variants and delivery schedule are also awaited. If launched, the Bayon could expand Hyundai's options in the compact SUV segment.

4. Toyota Glanza Facelift: Expected Design and Feature Updates

The Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to launch around October 14, 2026. Since the Glanza shares its platform with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the updated model could receive design and feature changes similar to those introduced on its platform sibling.

The facelift is expected to retain a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing approximately 82.9hp and 112.4Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT. A CNG version may also be available, although the final powertrain details have not been confirmed.

The updated Glanza could receive changes to its exterior styling, cabin features and equipment list. However, Toyota has not yet confirmed the final specifications, variants or prices. The expected price in INR remains unannounced, and buyers will need to wait for the official launch to learn more about the changes.

5. New Audi Q3: Third-Generation Premium SUV

The third-generation Audi Q3 is expected to launch in India on October 16, 2026. Audi has already begun local production of the new-generation SUV in India. Local manufacturing could help the company manage costs, although it does not guarantee a lower price for buyers.

The new Q3 features revised exterior styling and is approximately 40mm longer than its predecessor. The Indian version is expected to use a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 204hp and 320Nm of torque.

The engine could be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system. With its updated design, premium equipment and powerful engine, the new Q3 could strengthen Audi's position in the luxury compact SUV segment. The final specifications, variants and price in INR are yet to be officially announced.

6. Renault Duster Hybrid: SUV Expected to Return on October 17

The Renault Duster could make its return to the Indian market around October 17, 2026. One of the key attractions of the new model could be its hybrid powertrain, which may help Renault compete more strongly in the mid-size SUV segment.

According to expected specifications, the Indian version could feature a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with two electric motors. The hybrid system could deliver a combined output of around 160hp and 172Nm of torque, supported by a battery with a capacity of approximately 1.4kWh.

The hybrid setup could allow the SUV to operate in electric mode under certain driving conditions, particularly in city traffic. An eight-speed multi-mode automatic transmission is also expected. However, Renault has not yet officially confirmed the Indian model's final powertrain, features, launch date or price in INR.

If launched with the expected specifications, the new Duster would compete with popular models such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Its pricing and fuel efficiency could play an important role in determining its appeal to buyers.

Which Cars Should Buyers Watch Next Week?

The Volvo EX90 and ES90 could attract buyers interested in luxury electric vehicles, while the hybrid Renault Duster could be an important addition to the mid-size SUV segment. The new Audi Q3 may appeal to premium SUV buyers, whereas the Toyota Glanza facelift and Hyundai Bayon could offer more choices in the mass-market segment.

However, the launch dates and specifications of these models are not all officially confirmed for India. Hyundai's plans for the Bayon, in particular, remain unclear. Buyers should check the manufacturers' official announcements before making decisions about bookings, prices, variants or delivery schedules.

Note: All prices are expressed in Indian rupees (INR). The manufacturers have not confirmed the final India prices of the models discussed above, so no unverified prices have been presented as official figures.
