Apple TV 4K and HomePod Mini 2 bring new entertainment and smart audio features to Apple's product lineup in India. Here's a look at their expected prices, key specifications, Siri AI capabilities, colour options and sale dates.
October 10, 2026: Apple has introduced two new devices for home entertainment and smart audio in India: the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K and the HomePod Mini 2. The company aims to deliver a better experience than previous models with upgraded hardware, improved audio technology, and smarter voice controls. Both devices are designed to offer enhanced Siri AI features, although some of the new AI capabilities will arrive on the HomePod Mini 2 through a future software update.
The new Apple TV 4K is priced at ₹39,900 in India and will go on sale on November 13. Meanwhile, the HomePod Mini 2 costs ₹18,900 and will be available from October 30. The new smart speaker will be offered in five colours: Pink, Green, Blue, White, and Midnight.
Apple TV 4K (Fourth Generation) Price and Processor
The new Apple TV 4K is powered by Apple's A19 chip. According to the company, it delivers up to 50% faster CPU performance and up to twice the GPU performance compared with the previous generation. These improvements could provide smoother performance when streaming videos, using apps, and playing graphics-intensive games.
The new streaming device also includes an AV1 decoder, which helps deliver supported video content more efficiently. This can improve streaming performance and playback quality for compatible content.
The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is priced at ₹39,900 in India and will be available from November 13. The device is designed for users who want advanced streaming features, seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem, and convenient voice controls on their televisions.
Find Movies and TV Shows Using Siri AI
One of the key features of the new Apple TV 4K is its enhanced Siri AI experience. Users will be able to search for movies, TV shows, and other content using Apple's voice assistant. In addition to searching for specific titles, Siri AI is expected to offer recommendations and conversational responses based on users' preferences.
Users will also be able to ask questions about the content they are watching. Siri AI's responses will appear as a small overlay on the screen, allowing viewers to access information without pausing their movies or shows.
To make voice commands more convenient, the device features three built-in far-field microphones. These microphones allow users to control the device with their voice from a distance.
The new remote also includes Find My and Precision Finding features, making it easier to locate a misplaced remote. This could be particularly useful when the remote gets lost somewhere in the living room.
Create a Surround Sound System With Four Speakers
The Apple TV 4K can connect to up to four HomePod Mini 2 or second-generation HomePod speakers to create a multi-speaker surround sound setup. This allows users to enjoy a more immersive audio experience while watching movies and other video content.
The device also supports Apple Fitness+, Apple Arcade, and FaceTime through Continuity Camera. In addition, users can customise the photo screensaver to display their favourite pictures.
This means the Apple TV 4K can serve as more than just a streaming device. It can also become a central part of a home entertainment setup for gaming, video calls, and other activities.
S10 Chip and Improved Audio in HomePod Mini 2
The new HomePod Mini 2 is powered by Apple's S10 chip. According to the company, its computational audio technology can adjust sound output in real time to deliver an improved listening experience. The speaker also supports 360-degree audio for a more immersive sound experience.
Users can operate the HomePod Mini 2 as a standalone speaker or pair two units to create a stereo setup. It also supports multiroom audio, allowing users to play music in different rooms.
Additionally, users can connect up to four HomePod Mini 2 speakers to the new Apple TV 4K to create a surround sound setup. This feature could appeal to people looking to build a home theatre system using Apple's devices.
Sound Glow Feature Changes Lights With Music
Sound Glow is one of the new features highlighted for the HomePod Mini 2. It illuminates the top of the speaker while music is playing, with the brightness and rhythm of the light changing in response to the music's bass and treble.
The feature is designed to add a visual element to the listening experience and create a different atmosphere in the room. Users can also choose different soundscapes, such as the sound of rain, to create a more relaxing environment at home.
However, detailed information about the level of customisation available for Sound Glow's lighting and audio responses has not been provided.
When Will Siri AI Arrive on the HomePod Mini 2?
Siri AI will not be available on the HomePod Mini 2 from launch. Apple has stated that the feature will be introduced through a future software update.
The update is expected to bring more natural conversations, personalised assistance, and improved music discovery. However, the company has not announced an exact release date for these features.
This is an important point for buyers, as Siri AI is being highlighted as one of the key attractions of Apple's new devices. HomePod Mini 2 buyers may need to wait for the software update to access the full range of advertised AI capabilities.
HomePod Mini 2 Can Also Control Smart Home Devices
The HomePod Mini 2 can also function as a smart home hub. Users can use it to control compatible smart devices, run automations, and manage different scenes and routines.
According to Apple, the speaker supports compatible accessories within the Apple Home ecosystem, including video doorbells and smart cameras. This could make it easier to manage multiple smart home devices through a single system.
However, buyers should check whether their existing smart home devices are compatible with Apple's ecosystem before purchasing the speaker.
