Facebook and Instagram users have been facing trouble with their accounts on these apps on 4 March. The outage, though not global, was reported by at least half a million Facebook users, approximately a hundred thousand Instagram users and even a few thousand YouTube users as per Downdetector.

Users of Facebook and Instagram complained of being logged out of their accounts and were unable to login, with Facebook showing a "Down for Maintenance" message and Instragarm showing an Error message. Many users were also asked to change passwords. The company, however says that Users should not look at making any changes to passwords or re login till the issue is resolved. Meta chief Marc Zuckerberg is currenly in India to attend the high profile Ambani - Merchant pre-wedding celebrations.
