Ferrari Luce Electric Car Debuts in India: 1,050 PS Power and ₹8.5 Crore Expected Price
Ferrari’s first fully electric car, the Luce, combines 1,050 PS of power, a 112 kWh battery and a claimed 530 km range. Its expected price in India is around ₹8.5 crore, although the official price is yet to be announced.
September 18, 2026: Ferrari’s first fully electric car, the Ferrari Luce, has made its debut in the Indian market. This luxury electric car delivers 1,050 PS of power and 990 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. However, the Luce stands out for more than its impressive speed. This four-seater features a design that differs significantly from Ferrari’s familiar supercars, along with modern technology and a large 112 kWh battery. The company has not yet announced the car’s official price in India. However, initial estimates suggest that its ex-showroom price could be around ₹8.5 crore, before optional features and customisations.
Design by Apple’s Former Design Chief: A Big Surprise
Apple’s former Chief Design Officer, Jony Ive, collaborated with Ferrari on the design of the Luce. The car’s design places a strong emphasis on aerodynamics. Lower air resistance helps an electric motor maintain speed more efficiently. To achieve this, the Luce features a coupe-style sedan silhouette that differs from the design of conventional supercars.
At the front, the car features a curved bonnet and a large central air vent. The headlamps and daytime running lights are housed in slim LED units integrated into a glossy black panel. This gives the front a minimalist and understated appearance.
From the side, the Luce looks more like a sporty sedan than a conventional supercar. Its four doors and sloping roofline create a coupe-like profile. Glossy black inserts are also present on the front doors. The car features 23-inch front wheels and 24-inch rear wheels.
At the rear, the Luce gets round LED taillamps. Although the design shares some similarities with other Ferrari models, the car has a distinct identity. Along with its striking appearance, the design focuses on reducing aerodynamic drag.
Retro-Inspired Interior With a Large Touchscreen
The Ferrari Luce’s cabin also differs from the interiors of conventional Ferrari models. It features high-quality materials and aluminium inserts that stretch across the dashboard. The steering wheel has a slim, three-spoke design with a silver finish. Overall, the cabin combines retro-inspired styling with modern technology.
A large central touchscreen can be rotated towards either the driver or the front passenger. The digital instrument cluster features a design inspired by traditional analogue dials. The rear seats also offer a luxurious experience, with leather upholstery and a touchscreen positioned below the rear AC vents to control various vehicle functions.
Like the Ferrari Purosangue, the Luce features special rear-hinged doors that open backwards. This design makes it easier for passengers to enter and exit the car while adding to its distinctive appearance.
21-Speaker Sound System and Level 2 ADAS
As a modern electric car, the Ferrari Luce comes with several advanced technology features. These include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Music lovers also get a premium 21-speaker sound system, along with multi-zone climate control.
Safety features include multiple airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and front and rear parking sensors. Hill-hold assist and hill-descent control are also available to help drivers manage the car on sloping roads.
The Luce also features a 360-degree camera and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These technologies are designed to assist the driver in different situations but do not replace the need for constant attention and control.
112 kWh Battery and 1,050 PS of Power
The Ferrari Luce’s biggest attraction is its electric powertrain. The car features a 112 kWh battery pack and four electric motors, with one motor powering each wheel. Together, the motors deliver a maximum output of 1,050 PS and peak torque of 990 Nm.
Here are the key performance specifications of the Ferrari Luce.

According to the company, the Ferrari Luce can travel up to 530 km on a full charge under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). However, the actual driving range will depend on factors such as driving style, speed, road conditions and weather.
The car also features rear-wheel steering, active suspension and active torque vectoring. These technologies are designed to improve handling, stability and control while cornering. It supports DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. However, the actual charging speed will depend on the charger, battery charge level and other conditions.
What Could Be the Ferrari Luce’s Price in India?
Ferrari has not yet announced the official Indian price of the Luce. However, initial estimates suggest that its ex-showroom price could be around ₹8.5 crore. The final price could be higher depending on optional features, customisation choices and other charges. This estimated price has not yet been officially confirmed by the company.
There is currently no direct rival to the Ferrari Luce. However, buyers exploring high-performance luxury electric cars could also consider the Porsche Taycan Turbo and the upcoming Tesla Roadster, once it becomes available.
The Ferrari Luce represents a significant shift for the Italian automaker. The four-seater aims to combine Ferrari’s signature performance and luxury with the capabilities of electric technology, while offering a design that differs from its traditional petrol-powered supercars. Once the company announces the official Indian price and sales details, it will become clearer how the Luce could influence the country’s ultra-luxury electric car market.
