Google Fitbit Air Launched in India at ₹13,999: Check Price, Features, Battery and More
Google Fitbit Air has launched in India at ₹13,999 with a screenless design, 24/7 health tracking, seven-day battery life and Google Health Coach.
October 03, 2026: Google has launched the new Fitbit Air in the Indian market. It is a screenless fitness tracker, which means it does not have a display, notifications, or a direct information-viewing system like a normal smartwatch. Instead, all health and fitness-related information can be viewed through the Google Health app on a smartphone.
After being first introduced in the global market in May 2026, the Fitbit Air has now arrived in India. It is connected to Google's new health ecosystem, and users can also get personalised fitness and wellness advice from the Gemini-powered Google Health Coach through the Google Health app.
How much does Fitbit Air cost?
The Fitbit Air is priced at Rs 13,999 in India. It will be available in four colours:
-
Obsidian
-
Berry
-
Lavender
-
Fog
Google said that the Fitbit Air can now be purchased through the Google Store and Google's authorised retail partners. A three-month Google Health Premium trial is also being offered with the device. Through this trial, users can access the full benefits of Google Health Coach.
Why doesn't the Fitbit Air have a screen?
The main idea behind the Fitbit Air is to move away from the distractions of a smartwatch. For many users, smartwatches can be bulky, expensive, or distracting because of constant notifications. The Fitbit Air is designed to be a smaller, lighter, and less noticeable device.
Since it does not have a display, users do not need to constantly check notifications or other information on their wrist. When they want to see detailed health information, they have to open the Google Health app on their smartphone. Google claims that the device is designed to be worn throughout the day and night, with special emphasis on making it comfortable even while sleeping.
24-hour heart rate monitoring
One of the most important features of the Fitbit Air is 24-hour heart rate monitoring. It also offers:
-
Sleep monitoring
-
SpO2 or blood oxygen level monitoring
-
Heart rhythm alerts related to atrial fibrillation or AFib
-
Heart rate variability tracking
-
Skin temperature tracking
-
Automatic workout detection
This means the wearable can collect important health-related information not only during exercise but also at different times of the day.
7-day battery on a single charge
One of the biggest advantages of the Fitbit Air is its battery life. According to Google, the device can be used for up to seven days on a single charge. It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge.
There is also a fast-charging facility. Google says that charging the device for just five minutes can provide around one day of battery backup.
Will work with Google Health Coach
Google is not positioning the Fitbit Air as just a simple fitness tracker. It is part of Google's new health ecosystem. Health and fitness data collected by the device can be viewed in the Google Health app. The Google Health Coach can then provide personalised fitness guidance and wellness advice based on the user's information.
For workouts, the device can automatically detect some common activities and later show their summaries in the Google Health app. Users can also log workouts manually if they want. There is even a facility to take pictures of gym equipment or workout boards through AI-assisted logging and use them for tracking.
Benefits of three types of bands
Google is also offering different types of interchangeable bands for the Fitbit Air.
1. Performance Loop Band
Made from recycled materials, this band is lightweight and adjustable. It is designed for everyday use and is available in different colours.
2. Active Band
Designed for workouts, this band is made from silicone and is resistant to sweat and water. It also comes with textured finishes and bright colour options.
3. Elevated Modern Band
For users who want a more fashionable look, the Elevated Modern Band offers a jewellery-inspired design. It is available in relatively neutral colours.

How different is the Fitbit Air as a smartwatch alternative?
The biggest feature of the Fitbit Air is its simplicity. It does not have a screen, so users cannot view notifications or use apps directly on their wrist. Instead, the device is designed to quietly collect health and fitness data and display that information through a smartphone.
As a result, Google has designed the Fitbit Air for people who do not want all the features of a smartwatch but still want to regularly track their heart rate, sleep, workouts, and other health-related information.
Launched in India at a price of Rs 13,999, the screenless wearable offers a different approach from conventional smartwatches by focusing on health tracking without a display.
