Google has introduced AI integration, which helps in making your photos more creative and is now bringing new tools to help detect these AI-generated images. The new tool is called “About this Image.” As AI-generated fake images are becoming increasingly popular over the internet, people can easily generate fake news articles, social media posts and other things to deceive people. The new tool will tell you if the AI-generated photo is fake or not.
“About this image” will provide users with additional information about an image. The information will tell when the image was first indexed by Google, where it first appeared and where else it has been seen online. All AI-generated images will be labelled by google. This will help users to verify the authenticity of an image.
The new features are rolling out now and will be available to all users in the coming months.
“You’ll be able to find this tool by clicking on the three dots on an image in Google Images results, searching with an image or screenshot in Google Lens, or by swiping up in the Google App when you’re on a page and come across an image you want to learn more about. Later this year, you’ll also be able to use it by right-clicking or long-pressing on an image in Chrome on desktop and mobile,” Google said in a blog post.
