After the fun-filled ‘Dare to Hunt’ event, Advaiya an IT company based in Udaipur has organized ‘Hack-a-month and Hackethon Challenge’ to enable their employees to learn about web & system security and ethical hacking tools & techniques. The event started in May 2012 will last till the first week of June 2012.

The event will include a series of workshops, knowledge sharing sessions, surprise activities along with various competitions such as blog writing, manual cryptography, cartoon making, quiz, develop and hack a project, amongst many others.

Seven teams have been formed that consist of professionals from diverse software development sectors.

The event formally kicked off on 3^rd May, 2012 with the “Blog Writing” competition.

According to the administration, objective of this ethical hacking event is to make the employees aware about security challenges and adept at security domain so that they can build better and more secure software products. This challenge will also help the team members to unleash the hacker inside them, unveil their creativity and share knowledge with each other.

As part of the series, a “Manual Cryptography” competition was organized on 7^th May. The challenge for the teams was to design a cryptographic sign language that is hard to decode for the other competing teams. The “FUD Cryptors” team succeeded in decoding the cryptographic sign languages of two competing teams and turned out to be the winners.

The month long event series will culminate with a live hacking competition called “Hackethon” to be held on 7^th June, 2012 at Advaiya premises at IT Park.
