Harley-Davidson X350 T Expected Price in India: Will It Get a Smaller Engine?
Harley-Davidson could be preparing a new X350 T motorcycle based on the X440 T design. Images suggest a possible smaller engine that could qualify for India's lower GST rate for motorcycles up to 350cc. The company has not confirmed the model, its price or its launch date.
October 31, 2026: Harley-Davidson may be preparing to launch a new motorcycle to take advantage of India's lower GST rate for bikes with an engine capacity of up to 350cc. Recently, images of a possible new model, the Harley-Davidson X350 T, surfaced online. The motorcycle's design closely resembles the X440 T, but the biggest change could be its engine. Instead of a 440cc unit, the new model may feature an engine with a capacity below 350cc.
However, Harley-Davidson has not officially announced the motorcycle or confirmed its specifications.
Over the past year, several manufacturers have adjusted their motorcycle line-ups to benefit from India's revised GST structure. With the lower tax rate applying to motorcycles with an engine capacity of up to 350cc, companies such as Bajaj, KTM and Triumph have explored ways to make their models more competitively priced. Harley-Davidson could follow a similar strategy with the potential X350 T.
Harley-Davidson X350 T Could Be a Smaller Version of the X440 T
The motorcycle shown in the recently surfaced images looks similar to the Harley-Davidson X440 T. However, it features a new orange colour option and revised graphics. The frame, chassis components and round instrument cluster also appear similar to those of the existing model.
The biggest change could be the engine. The Harley-Davidson X440 T uses a 440cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. The potential X350 T could feature a smaller engine based on the same platform. Keeping the engine capacity below 350cc could help the motorcycle qualify for the lower GST rate.
It is important not to confuse the possible X350 T with the parallel-twin Harley-Davidson X350 sold in international markets. Based on the surfaced images, the new model appears to be related to the X440 T rather than the internationally available X350.
Lower GST Could Help Reduce the Harley-Davidson X350 T Price
Under India's revised GST structure, motorcycles with an engine capacity of up to 350cc attract 18% GST, while those above 350cc fall under the 40% rate. If the proposed X350 T gets an engine below 350cc, it could benefit from the lower tax rate compared with the 440cc X440 T.
The Harley-Davidson X440 T currently starts at ₹2.86 lakh. The company has not announced a price for the possible X350 T, but the lower GST rate could help it offer a more competitive price if the savings are passed on to customers.
Triumph has previously introduced 349cc versions of motorcycles based on its 400cc platform. Following those changes, the prices of some models were reduced by up to ₹11,000. Whether Harley-Davidson can achieve a similar price reduction will depend on the cost of developing the smaller engine and the company's pricing strategy.
What Features Could the Harley-Davidson X350 T Offer?
The Harley-Davidson X440 T was launched in December 2025 with several features over the standard X440. These include ride-by-wire technology, two riding modes (Road and Rain), traction control and switchable rear ABS.
It remains unclear whether the potential X350 T will retain all these features. The images mainly reveal the motorcycle's exterior design, and there is no confirmed information about its engine output, performance figures or electronic equipment.
Although the motorcycle appears close to production in the surfaced images, Harley-Davidson has not confirmed its launch or availability in India. More details will be needed to establish whether the X350 T will enter the market and when it could arrive.
If Harley-Davidson launches the motorcycle with an engine capacity below 350cc, it could compete with models from Royal Enfield, Triumph and Honda. A competitive price, along with the brand's styling, could help it attract buyers looking for a premium motorcycle in the sub-350cc segment.
