Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed several key features of the phone. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor and feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The smartphone will also pack a 6,500mAh battery and feature a Hydroflow liquid cooling system to help control its temperature during gaming. In addition, it will have pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers for a better gaming experience. The new smartphone will succeed the Infinix GT 30 Pro.
Infinix GT 50 Pro to Launch in India on October 27, Exclusive Sale on Flipkart
The Infinix GT 50 Pro will launch in India on October 27 and will be available exclusively through Flipkart. The smartphone will come in two colour options: Black Abyss and Red Blaze. However, the company has not yet announced its price in India.
Infinix launched the phone in select international markets in April this year. Now, the device is set to reach Indian buyers. Designed for gaming, the smartphone combines a powerful processor, an advanced cooling system and dedicated gaming controls.
6.78-Inch AMOLED Display with a 144Hz Refresh Rate
The Infinix GT 50 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. According to the company, the display can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It will also offer a maximum touch reporting rate of 2,800Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 330Hz in game mode.
A high refresh rate can make visuals appear smoother in fast-paced games. Meanwhile, a higher touch sampling rate can help the screen respond more quickly to user input. These features may provide an advantage in games that require fast reactions. However, the actual experience will depend on game support, software optimisation and other factors.
Dimensity 8400 Ultimate Processor and Fast Storage
Infinix has confirmed that the GT 50 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. The processor will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
This hardware combination is designed to support demanding games, faster app loading and smooth multitasking. The company claims that the smartphone can deliver frame rates of up to 144 FPS in supported games, including Free Fire Max and Call of Duty: Mobile. However, the actual frame rate will depend on game compatibility, graphics settings, device temperature and software optimisation.
Hydroflow Liquid Cooling System to Control Temperature
Smartphones can heat up during long gaming sessions. To help manage this issue, the Infinix GT 50 Pro will feature a Hydroflow liquid cooling system.
According to the company, the system includes a 7,700-square-millimetre 3D vapour chamber, a micro-pump and two piezoelectric ceramic plates. It can circulate liquid at a maximum rate of 6.5 millilitres per minute.
The cooling channels will be visible on the phone's back panel, which Infinix calls an explicit viewport design. This gives the device a distinctive gaming-focused appearance.
However, the system's actual cooling performance will need to be assessed through real-world testing, especially during extended gaming sessions. Effective temperature management can help maintain performance and reduce the impact of overheating.
Pressure-Sensitive Shoulder Triggers with Four Control Modes
The Infinix GT 50 Pro will feature pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers designed to improve gaming controls. The system offers four input modes: light press, hard press, left swipe and right swipe. It also supports 10 pressure levels.
Users will be able to assign different controls to these triggers in compatible games. This can be useful in action and shooting games, where quick reactions and multiple controls are often required. However, the available functions will depend on individual game support and settings.
6,500mAh Battery with Wired and Wireless Charging
The Infinix GT 50 Pro will pack a 6,500mAh battery. It will support 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, allowing users to charge the device through compatible wired or wireless charging systems.
The smartphone will also support the Infinix GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0, an external magnetic cooling accessory designed to help manage the phone's temperature during gaming. According to the company, the accessory will be included in the retail box in India. It will also support 30W wireless bypass charging.
Infinix GT 50 Pro India Price Yet to Be Announced
Although Infinix has confirmed several key specifications of the GT 50 Pro, its price in India remains unknown. The company is expected to reveal the price and other sales details at the launch on October 27.
The smartphone will be sold exclusively through Flipkart and will be available in Black Abyss and Red Blaze colour options.
The 144Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, liquid cooling system and pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers are among the phone's main highlights. However, its position in India's gaming smartphone market will become clearer once the official price is announced.
