November 03, 2026: The interior of the JSW Combat SUV has been spotted on camera for the first time ahead of its India debut. Recently released spy images of the test model have revealed several details about the car's cabin. These include a dual-tone interior, a large touchscreen infotainment system and a four-spoke steering wheel. The SUV will be based on the Chery Jetour T2 and is scheduled to make its official debut in India on December 4, 2026. With this model, JSW Motors is preparing to enter the Indian market as an independent car manufacturer.

What Could the Interior of the JSW Combat Look Like?

The spy images reveal several similarities between the JSW Combat's cabin and the Chery Jetour T2. The SUV may feature a steeply styled dashboard with a blue-and-white dual-tone interior theme.

A four-spoke steering wheel is visible in front of the driver, featuring a slightly flattened upper section. It appears to have a physical scroll wheel along with touch-sensitive buttons. However, the central logo is covered, so its final design remains unconfirmed.

The centre of the dashboard could feature a large infotainment touchscreen. Similar to the Jetour T2, JSW may offer a 15.6-inch touchscreen along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument display for the driver.

The centre console appears to feature a compact gear selector, brushed aluminium finish, rotary drive selector and several physical controls. The spy images also show an off-white centre armrest and black leatherette front seats.

What Features Could the JSW Combat Offer?

JSW Motors has not revealed the complete feature list of the Combat SUV yet. However, based on the features available in the Chery Jetour T2, the Indian model could offer several premium features, including:

  • 6-way powered driver seat

  • 4-way powered front passenger seat

  • Front seat ventilation and memory function

  • 12-speaker Sony sound system

  • Six airbags

  • 540-degree camera with underbody and surround-view functions

  • Level 2 ADAS

However, these features are based on the equipment available in the Jetour T2. It is not yet confirmed whether the Indian version of the JSW Combat will receive all these features.

Exterior Design Could Get Minor Changes

Earlier spy images had hinted at redesigned headlamps and a modified front grille on the JSW Combat. The overall styling is expected to remain similar to the Chery Jetour T2, although some changes could be introduced to the front and rear bumpers. The Jetour branding is also expected to be replaced with Combat lettering at the front.

The SUV is likely to retain its boxy design, along with 20-inch alloy wheels, thick wheel-arch cladding and roof rails. The roof rails could also feature neon-green design elements. A separate storage box for charging equipment is visible on the rear door. The vertical LED taillight design is also expected to remain unchanged.

360hp Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain

One of the biggest highlights of the JSW Combat could be its Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology. According to the report, the Indian model may feature a 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, an 18.4kWh battery pack and two electric motors. Both electric motors are expected to drive the front wheels, making it a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) SUV.

The combined power output of the engine and electric motors could reach 360hp and 610Nm of torque. The powertrain may be paired with a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).

The claimed driving range is also noteworthy. According to NEDC test estimates, the SUV could cover around 90km in pure electric mode. Meanwhile, its combined range with a full fuel tank and a fully charged battery could reach up to 1,100km.

How Much Could the JSW Combat Cost in India?

According to the report, JSW Motors is planning to position the Combat SUV at a competitive price in the Indian market. Based on current estimates, its ex-showroom price could range between INR 40 lakh and INR 50 lakh.

At this expected price, the SUV could compete with models such as the Kia Sorento. Its rugged styling and SUV underpinnings could also put it in competition with the Toyota Fortuner and MG Majestor.

However, JSW Motors has not officially announced the price, variants or complete feature list of the Combat SUV. More details about its design, specifications and market positioning are expected to be revealed during its official India debut on December 4, 2026.
