Udaipur, June 23, 2026 | Technology News: Samsung Electronics has announced a major expansion of its artificial intelligence initiatives by deploying ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to employees across its global operations. The move represents one of OpenAI's largest enterprise deployments to date and highlights Samsung's increasing focus on integrating AI technologies into everyday business processes.
Under the rollout, ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex will be made available to all Samsung Electronics employees in South Korea, as well as all employees within the company's Device eXperience (DX) division worldwide.
The company plans to utilize the AI tools across multiple functions, including software development, product design, manufacturing, marketing, research and development, and corporate operations. Samsung believes the deployment will help employees improve efficiency, enhance problem-solving capabilities, and accelerate innovation across teams.
ChatGPT Enterprise will enable employees to perform knowledge-intensive tasks such as information analysis, document creation, brainstorming, data interpretation, and research more effectively. The enterprise platform also provides advanced security, governance, and access-management capabilities designed to meet Samsung's corporate security requirements.
Meanwhile, Codex will support both technical and non-technical teams. Developers can use the platform for coding, debugging, testing, and code reviews, while other employees can create internal tools, automate workflows, build websites, and transform ideas into working software solutions without requiring extensive programming expertise.
According to OpenAI, more than five million people now use Codex each week for a variety of professional and creative tasks. Usage in South Korea has also grown rapidly, with weekly active users increasing significantly during 2026.
OpenAI Korea General Manager Harrison Kim described the deployment as a significant milestone for both companies, stating that Samsung is adopting AI not merely as a productivity tool for select departments but as a company-wide platform designed to transform how employees collaborate, innovate, and execute projects.
The partnership builds on previous collaboration between Samsung Electronics and OpenAI in the field of AI infrastructure. Samsung has been supplying advanced memory semiconductor technologies that support next-generation AI systems. The latest agreement expands the relationship beyond infrastructure and into workforce transformation and enterprise AI adoption.
The deployment also reflects South Korea's growing embrace of artificial intelligence technologies. Educational institutions and major enterprises across the country have increasingly integrated AI-powered tools into their operations, research, and communication platforms.
Samsung's adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex is expected to play a key role in the company's long-term strategy as it seeks to enhance productivity, accelerate innovation, and strengthen its position in an increasingly AI-driven technology landscape.
