Finally – after years of experimenting with the Undo Send option, Google has finally got the feature out of Google Labs into Mainstream Gmail.
If you are sloppy with email – pressing the send button too fast; replying ‘all’ to official mail; choosing the wrong ‘admin’ id or doing everything wrong while sending important or harmless mail, Google now allows you to get the mail sent to be Undone within 30 seconds of pressing the ‘Send’ button.
Having announced the option to be released to mainstream Gmail settings (you needed to enable it from Google Labs in your Gmail earlier), Google will be rolling out the feature in mainstream Settings in the next two weeks.
You need to get the option enabled through Settings Tab on your Gmail window. For those careless enough on mobile mail, the Inbox App also has an Undo feature where one can choose a delay time of between 5 to 30 seconds.
