Vivo X500 Series India Launch: BIS Certification Reveals X500, X500 Pro and Pro Max
Vivo's X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max have reportedly received BIS certification in India. Here's a look at their expected launch timeline and key specifications.
October 31, 2026: Vivo's new flagship smartphone series is almost ready to launch in the Indian market. According to a report, all three models — the Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max — have received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This has increased the possibility of all three phones launching together in India. However, the company has not yet announced an official launch date. According to the report, the phones could arrive in the Indian market by the end of November.
According to a report by XpertPick, three devices with model numbers V2619, V2621 and V2610 have appeared in the BIS database. These model numbers are reportedly linked to the Vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max, respectively. However, receiving BIS certification does not confirm the launch date of the phones.
144Hz display on all three phones
The Vivo X500 series first debuted in China in September. Earlier this week, the company also launched the phones in several international markets, including Malaysia and Europe. Now, Vivo appears to be preparing to bring the series to India.
The standard Vivo X500 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chipset and comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 828 primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. For selfies and video calls, it has a 50-megapixel front camera.
The phone also packs a large 7,500mAh battery. It supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

The phone has a triple-camera setup with three 50-megapixel sensors. Along with the primary and ultra-wide cameras, it features a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that supports 3.5x optical zoom. There is also a 50-megapixel camera on the front.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max is the most advanced model in the series. It features a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
The Pro Max model also offers the most advanced camera setup among the three phones. On the back, it has a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto camera supports 3.5x optical zoom. Users will also be able to use Vivo's optional 400mm-equivalent ZEISS telephoto extender.
The phone packs a 7,800mAh battery and supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
The BIS certification of all three phones suggests that Vivo is preparing to launch the X500 series in India. However, the company has not yet confirmed the specifications, RAM and storage options or prices of the Indian variants. Buyers will have to wait for Vivo's official announcement for these details.
