Udaipur, July 28, 2026 | Technology Updates - WhatsApp Feature Launch: One of the most awaited features of WhatsApp, i.e. the functionality of making audio and video calls directly from WhatsApp Web is now here. If you log on to the WhatsApp Web on your browser, you can see the telephone icon on the menu bar towards the left.
Marc Zuckerberg announced the rollout of this feature on his WhatsApp channel today evening.
He announed a few more updates that are rolling out. These include:
- Call Transfer - this feature allows the user to move an active group call from one device to another without hanging up.
- Waiting Room - allows the user to approve who joins the group call before they are let into the call.
- Background Noise Suppression - makes your calls sound clear even in noisy environments.
