Udaipur, January 3, 2025 - WhatsApp Pay can now be used by all users in India. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has removed the limit that was set before, allowing more people to use UPI-based payments on WhatsApp. Earlier, only 100 million users could access it, but now it’s available to everyone using WhatsApp in India.
“National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has removed the UPI user onboarding limit for WhatsApp Pay (Third Party App Provider), with immediate effect. With this development, WhatsApp Pay can now extend UPI services to its entire user base in India.”
