10 Trains Cancelled as Heavy Rains Hit Jammu Rail Network
Sept 3, 2025 – Train services to and from Jammu continue to be disrupted owing to damage caused between Kathua and Madhopur Punjab stations in the Northern Railway’s Jammu division, following heavy rainfall in the region. As a result, Indian Railways has cancelled 10 trains, with several to remain suspended, until the end of this month.
Fully Cancelled Trains
Fully cancelled trains on certain days in September, according to railway officials, are:
- Ajmer–Jammu Tawi–Ajmer
- Barmer–Jammu Tawi–Barmer
- Bandra Terminus–Jammu Tawi
- Bhavnagar Terminus–Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Jammu)
- Sabarmati–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra
Partially Cancelled Trains
- Bhagat Ki Kothi–Jammu Tawi and Sabarmati–Jammu Tawi trains from September 2 to 3 while Jammu Tawi–Bhagat Ki Kothi and Jammu Tawi–Sabarmati trains from September 3 to 30 will remain partially cancelled between Firozpur Cantt and Jammu Tawi.
Special Trains for Festive Travel
To facilitate passengers during the upcoming festive season, unreserved special trains will operate as follows:
- Rewari–Ringas–Rewari Express (Special) will run on September 3 and 4.
- Ringas–Rewari–Ringas Express (Special) will run on September 4 and 5.
Each train will consist of 16 coaches to accommodate additional passengers.
