The Maharana Pratap Airport at Dabok, Udaipur has been shut down temporarily. Airport officials informed that runway issues caised by the sudden rise in temperaturehave led to this development.

"Providing safe aircraft operations is our top most priority. Due to safety issues, runway at #Udaipur Airport will remain closed today (3rd May, 2022). Inconvenience is regretted."

Official statement issued by Airport Director Nandita Bhatt.

Passengers who were at the airport today morning for their scheduled flights have been asked to return and the flights have been cancelled for the day.

Earlier, the delay was said to be temporarily. Then it was informed that the runway will be active from 1pm onwards. Finally a message was announced at 8:15am that the airport has been shutdown for the day and all flights have been cancelled for the day.
