The first semi high speed train “Vande Bharat” will connect four major cities of Rajasthan, Udaipur being among them. The Railway department has approved Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur as the four cities that will be connected in the first phase in Rajasthan.

The Semi high speed Vande Bharat train will run at speeds reaching 180 km/hr.  The passengers in this train will have a very exciting journey as they will experience bullet speeds like that of an aircraft, but on ground. All the luxurious facilities of Vistadome coach i.e. you will have a revolving chair which will be rotated in the same direction in which the train is moving. Also, tea, coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on the train. First trial of “Vande Bharat” has been done between Kota and Nagda.

The high speed will make the journey will be quite time-friendly as it will take only 2 hours and 25 minutes to travel between Udaipur and Jaipur, which is 425 kms railway track distance. Traveling from Jaipur to Delhi will take 1 hour and 45 minutes; Jaipur to Kota 1 hour and 20 minutes and Jaipur to Jodhpur 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Vande Bharat express train will run on tracks covering 5 stations in Rajasthan. Maintenance deposts will be set up in Jaipur, Madar, Ajmer, Shree Ganganagar and Jodhpur.
