On Thursday, October 5, 2023, the Railway Board officially sanctioned the introduction of halts for the Jaipur-Asarwa Jaipur Intercity and Kota-Asarwa Kota Intercity trains at Semari Railway Station. This decision marks a significant development in the rail network, enhancing connectivity for passengers in the region. The inaugural ceremony for these new halts is expected to be presided over by Member of Parliament Arjun Lal Meena, adding to the anticipation surrounding this event.
Starting from Saturday, there is a strong possibility that both the Jaipur-Asarwa Jaipur Intercity and Kota-Asarwa Kota Intercity trains will commence making scheduled stops at Semari Railway Station. This move is poised to provide commuters with more convenient travel options and improved access to this important transportation hub.
The Ministry of Railways has granted approval for the halting of Jaipur-Asarwa Intercity and Asarwa-Kota Intercity trains at Semari Railway Station, thanks to the persistent demands of rural and local residents organized under the Semari Railway Struggle Committee banner.
During a recent visit to Udaipur Railway Station by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Member of Parliament and spokesperson Paras Jain disclosed that Udaipur MP Arjun Lal Meena had made a formal request for halts at Semari Railway Station for both the Jaipur-Asarwa Jaipur Intercity and Kota-Asarwa Kota Intercity trains.
Additionally, there was a request to elevate Semari Railway Station to a Grade A crossing railway station at the district level. It is noteworthy that the Railway Ministry has responded positively to this demand by granting approval for both the Jaipur-Asarwa Jaipur Intercity and Kota-Asarwa Kota Intercity trains to make scheduled halts at Semari Station.
