Advanced Passenger Information System at Umra Station
The Integrated Passenger Information System has 76 display boards to guide travellers plus three single-line display boards and four At-a-Glance display boards
Udaipur, Jan 7, 2026 - Umra Railway Station, which serves Umarda village, has installed an Integrated Passenger Information System to help passengers reach the correct train and coach. Mandal Railway Manager Raju Bhootra said that this system is being installed at stations where four or more Mail or Express trains stop.
At the station, 25 display boards have been installed on Platform 1, 24 on Platform 2 and 24 on Platform 3. Additionally, three single-line display boards and four “At-a-Glance” display boards have been set up.
Umra railway station, which is part of the Ahmedabad-Udaipur line in North-Western Railway, is to be developed as the third station of Udaipur. The other two stations are Udaipur City and Rana Pratap Nagar. A total of 10 trains pass through Umra (UMRA) junction, with major ones like Asarva-Jaipur SF Express and Veer Bhumi Express.
