Agra–Udaipur–Asarva Train Now Regular Service with 20-22% Fare Cut
Indian Railways converts Agra Cantt–Udaipur–Asarva special train into a regular service; passengers to benefit from 20–22% lower fares. Check new timings and routes
Udaipur, April 8, 2026 - The Agra Cantt–Asarva (via Udaipur) special train service has now been converted into a regular train service, offering passengers a 20–22% reduction in fares.
Udaipur, April 8, 2026 - Considering the increasing passenger rush, Indian Railways has made the Agra Cantt–Asarva–Agra Cantt special train service permanent as a regular service. Along with a change in train numbers, minor revisions have been made to the timetable. The train will operate five days a week.
Train number 20178 will depart from Agra Cantt every Wednesday to Sunday at 6:45 pm, reaching Udaipur City at 5:20 am the next day. After a 10-minute halt, it will leave at 5:30 am and arrive at Asarva (Ahmedabad) at 11:00 am.
Train number 20177 will run from Thursday to Monday, departing Asarva at 3:00 pm, reaching Udaipur at 7:25 pm, and after a 10-minute halt, leaving at 7:35 pm to reach Agra Cantt at 7:15 am the next day.
The train will halt at stations including Gangapur City, Sawai Madhopur, Keshoraypatan, Bundi, Mandalgarh, Chanderiya, Mavli Junction, Rana Pratap Nagar, Udaipur City, Zawar Mines, Dungarpur, Shamlaji and Himmatnagar.
Notably, fares in regular train services are 20–22% lower than special trains. For example:
- 2AC fare: reduced from Rs 1735 → approx. Rs 1410
- 3AC fare: reduced from Rs 1225 → approx. Rs 1015
- Sleeper fare: reduced from Rs 460 → approx. Rs 395
Earlier, this service was running as special train numbers 01919/01920 until March 31, 2026, and later extended for five additional trips till April 5, 2026. Now, it has been permanently converted into a regular train service with new numbers.
