January 7, 2025 – An Air India flight bound for Delhi had to make an emergency landing after one of its engines failed in midair, according to sources. The Airbus A320 Neo Flight 2820 had taken off from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru around 7:00 pm before returning to the airport after approximately one hour.

The incident took place on Sunday, January 5. No injuries were reported and all the passengers aboard the aircraft were safe.

"It happened day before yesterday. We don't have the technical details but the flight made an emergency landing," a source said.
