Automatic Coach Washing Plant launched at Udaipur Railway Station

Over 4,000 litre of water per train and over Rs 5 Lakh per month will be saved after the AWCP comes into operation

In a first for the Udaipur Division, the Automatic Coach Washing Plant (ACWP) was launched at the Udaipur Railway Station.

As informed by Ashok Kumar Chouhan, Chief PRO, NWR Ajmer Division, the Plant, which was installed at a total cost of Rs 1.77 Crore will improve the quality of external washing of the Railway Coaches.

The plant will also result in saving water and man power. Approximately 4,800 litres of water per train will be saved and the washing work will be completed in less than 10 minutes for each train. A monthly saving of Rs. 5 Lakh is expected after the AWCP comes into operation.

The inauguration was done by Naveen Kumar Parsuramka, Divisional Railway Manager, Ajmer in the presence of Additional Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar and other officers of the divisional office.
