Udaipur, April 4, 2025: The high speed train track running through Dungarpur is experiencing logistics issues due to the failure of the electricity department failing to provide power to the Traction Sub Station set up for this purpose at the Dungarpur Railway Station.

As per media reports, the Railways had already issued a formal request to the Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL), asking for power supply at the Traction Sub Station being built at Dungarpur Railway station for the plying of high speed trains on this route. This request had been made when the Dungarpur TSS was in its last phase of construction and ready to go live. Reports also say that the Railways had deposited hte said fees as well. The Dungarpur TSS has been ready since seven months now, and the AVVNL is yet to provide the necessary power.

For an electric high speed train to run effectively, a supply of 25000KV is required. Since this supply is not available, all the electric trains are plying at low speeds and this is also causing a delay in launching the high speed train services between Udaipur and Bandra Terminus.
