Travelling with loads of baggage is quite a difficult task but cannot be ruled out. It does happen that carrying the excess baggage from the airport to the destination/home becomes a big deal and is a troublesome task. Delhi airport has come with a service that simplifies your troubles to a great extent.

The airport has just launched a new service that allows both domestic and international passengers to have their excess baggage delivered to any location in India. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) which is a joint venture between GMR Group, Airport Authority of India and Fraport AG & Eraman Malaysia, said that the newly launched service is available at Terminal 3 at Delhi Airport.

Passengers wanting to avail the service must visit the “Avaan Excess”counter at Terminal 3 and book their excess baggage.  Passengers can choose how they want their baggage to be delivered to the desired locations. There are 2 kinds of services available …by air and by road. Baggage gets delivered within 72 hours by air. By road the baggage gets delivered in 4 to 7 days. The baggage would be insured by the concessionaire.

The service is beneficial for the customers who check-in with bulk baggage especially for the senior citizens and for those who are relocating.
