UAE has basically extended the ban for all South Asian countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Bans have also been extended for South Africa and Nigeria.

It is quite a disheartening news for those who have been planning business meets or shopping in Dubai. All these plans have been shelved once again as UAE extended the ban on international flights from South Asian countries.

UAE has extended the ban on flights from all South Asian countries including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The ban applies to South Africa and Nigeria, too. Travellers holding any of the visas won’t be able to travel to the Gulf country.

Earlier it was being expected that the flights between the 2 countries India and Dubai would begin by July 15 but since there was no communication from UAE’s Civil Aviation Authority, the airlines in India were doubtful of the flights.

People visit Dubai for both shopping and business meets. But their plans are now shelved as the UAE authorities are yet to release an official statement in this direction. The national aircraft of Dubai, Emirates, has however confirmed that flights from the South Asian countries are under restriction until 1st August.
