Heavy rainfall in Gujarat severely impacted transportation, causing the Bandra Terminus-Udaipur train to arrive 11 hours late on August 28,2024. The train, which departed from Bandra Terminus at 11:25 PM on Tuesday, was scheduled to reach Udaipur by 2:40 PM the next day. However, it eventually arrived around 2:00 AM on Thursday, following significant delays due to adverse weather conditions.
The heavy downpour not only led to the train's delay but also forced authorities to reroute it, further complicating travel plans for passengers. The intense rainfall has disrupted road and rail networks across the region, leading to widespread delays and cancellations. The continuous rain has caused waterlogging on tracks and roads, making transportation across Gujarat challenging and unpredictable.
Transportation services, including trains and buses, have been significantly affected, with several services either being delayed or canceled altogether. The situation highlights the ongoing difficulties faced by commuters and the transportation sector during the monsoon season in the region.
