Tourism Development Committee in Udaipur had a meeting as per which cycle sharing facility will begin for the tourists from 30th March. This cycling project will be known as Bike-Udaipur. This will be a good facility for the tourists from now on.

Tourism Development Committee in Udaipur had a meeting as per which cycle sharing facility will begin for the tourists from 30th March. This cycling project will be known as Bike-Udaipur. This will be a good facility for the tourists from now on.

Cycle stands will also be made by the municipal corporation on different spots to provide proper and safe cycle parking facilities to the tourists. Apart from this, some more important decisions were taken regarding promotion of tourism in the city. Collector Rohit Gupta presided the session. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Siddharth Sihag, SIERT Director Rukmini Sihag, Assistant tourism director Sumita Saroch and a few other department officers from hotel and tourism industry were also present.

Counters at the airport and railway stations

Airport and railway station will have enough publicity material regarding the various tourists spots of the city. Need for developing a tourism app was also discussed.

Smart cards for more facilities

Collector Rohit Gupta said that the facility of maximum payments through smart cards will also be made available to the tourists.

Development of museum

Rukmini Sihag laid emphasis on the development of museum in Saheliyon ki badi in a new and attractive way. She also stressed on the development of Kala Dirgha. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Siddharth Sihag gave details of tourism development works done by municipal corporation.

Special efforts need to be taken to stop the beggars from spoiling the grace of the city. Collector Rohit Gupta asked the police officials to take steps to prevent beggars from troubling the tourists. He stressed on Udaipur being made a beggar-free city.
