Nehru garden will soon be welcoming tourists after a 2 year break. Boat service to the island garden in Fateh Sagar are set to resume either towards end of this month or early April 2019.

The boats will be run under aegis of UIT. Boats for Nehru Garden will be run from the jetty opposite Guru Govind Singh park. Tendering process for the same has been completed by UIT and the boats are set to start towards end of this month. Currently, jetties are being installed at the boarding points.

Interestingly, portion of the revenue from the boat service will be given to Lake Development Authority and a portion will also be given to Tourism department. A separate bank account will be created for the revenue coming from boat service. 25% of the revenue will be given to Lake Development Authority. Out of the balance 75%, some portion will be given to Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and remaining will be retained by UIT.
