Breaking News Udaipur: Vande Bharat Between Udaipur to Surat Will Begin From October 3 2026

UdaipurTimes, September 23, 2026 | Udaipur Railway News Update: The Udaipur - Surat Vande Bharat will begin operations from Udaipur on October 3, 2026.

This development is a step towards connecting the Mewar region with major towns in the Southern part of India. Subsequent to the announcement of extending the Udaipur - Asarva train to Surat, there were rumors that the plan will not be executed. However, putting rumors to rest, the extension has finally been approved and the first train from Udaipur to Surat will run on October 3.

Inaugural Journey

The Vande Bharat train from Surat will reach Udaipur at 5:30pm on October 2 Public representatives and officers of the department will welcome the train to Udaipur.

Time Table

The Udaipur-Surat Vande Bharat will ply on all days of week, with the exception of Tuesday. The train will depart from Udaipur on all the 6 days, at 3:35pm and will reach Surat at 11pm the same day. The journey will include stops at Zawar (4:30pm), Dungarpur (4:50pm), Shamlaji Rd (5:27pm), Himmatnagar (6:18pm), Asarva (7:25pm), Mani Nagar (8:58pm), Anand (9:50pm) and Bharuch (10:22pm). The train will then depart Surat at 6:10am the next day and reach Udaipur at 1:40 in the afternoon on the same day.
